Overview
This program addresses the main urogynecological conditions and treatments including pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome, anatomical anomalies, fecal and urinary incontinence, while looking at risk factors and assessment. Sarah will describe treatment options for the most common urogynecological issues that can be managed ingynecology or primary care, including ongoing management of pessaries (once they have been fitted at urogynecology) and pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to OAB, urinary incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infection. We will review the indications for referral to urogynecology or pelvic floor physical therapy.
