Call for abstracts- 2019 Pediatric Potpourri Conference

The Houston Area Chapter of NAPNAP will be hosting a 2019 Fall Pediatric Potpourri Conference, scheduled for November 9, 2019 in Houston, Texas. We are now accepting abstracts for podium presentations and poster display for this event.
At this year's conference, we are adding an acute care speed session. This session will include up to 4-5 (10 minute presentations) within an hour. If you are interested in presenting a short acute care topic during the speed session, please indicate this when submitting your abstract. More information on the acute care speed session can be provided upon request.
Submissions should relate directly to clinical topics, innovative practice settings, research, and other topics related to primary or acute care pediatric medicine. When submitting your abstracts, please ensure that you demonstrate innovative models of care, clinical applicability, and evidence based research that will develop and enhance the skills of APRNs.
Please identify with your submission if you are submitting for podium presentation or poster display.
Guidelines for Submission
o Abstracts of 200+/- words in length will be accepted
o Contact Information
o A curriculum vitae (CV) and a completed Disclosure Form will be required
o Please include presenters/authors and co-presenters/co-authors
o Needs assessment statement, three learning objectives and abstract summary will be required.
For research projects, please include a discussion of background, methods, results, conclusions, and references.
For clinical or practice abstracts, please include a discussion of evidence-based practice and references.
o Presenters are responsible for their own travel. Houston NAPNAP will provide breakfast and lunch to presenters.
Podium session (if accepted):
o Podium presentations will be 50 minutes long
o Abstract submission deadline is July 10, 2019
o Confirmation of acceptance by primary author is required by July 15, 2019
o Electronic file of presentation content is required by October 1, 2019 for accreditation purposes
