Call for subcommittee/volunteers: Houston Area Chapter of NAPNAP 5K Walk/Run to Stop Human Trafficking
The Houston Area Chapter of NAPNAP will be hosting its annual 5K Walk/Run to Stop Human Trafficking on Saturday May 2nd, 2019 at the Pearland Town Center.
We are looking for passionate volunteers (medical and non-medical) to serve on our subcommitee and drive this initiative tirelessly. Interested members are to please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by July 15th. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Per the United States Department of Justice, Houston is one of the largest hubs for human trafficking in the nation and the largest hub in Texas. The goal of our chapter is to raise awareness of the need to diagnose and abolish human trafficking, the Houston Area Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (NAPNAP). The fundraiser, in alignment with the national initiatives, will incorporate key discussions related to this major public health problem in the context of challenges faced and suggested solutions.
