Personal hygiene kits assembled by the Houston Area Chapter of NAPNAP were recently donated to Furr High School. The items included in the kits were toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, lip balm, mouthwash, body cleansing wipes, feminine products, snacks and a card with the National Suicide Hotline. Donalee Cushman, Community Outreach Co-Chair, delivered 40 bags each for the boys and girls with extra supplies as well. Furr High School has many families significantly impacted by the pandemic. Food insecurity is felt by many. The school has an outreach service called Wraparound that connects students and their families with community resources that address the non-academic challenges.  The school partners with the Houston Food Bank and Gallery Furniture to help families in need. Furr High School principal Mrs. Tammie Moran and Angel Ramirez, Furr Wraparound Specialist gratefully accepted the donated personal hygiene kits. The school is 100% committed to their students and families.
